Vs. Seeker Items are a group of items that can be used in the Vs. Seeker. By selecting one from the user's inventory when a Pokémon is selected, the Vs. Seeker Item will be consumed and its properties used when running the Vs. Seeker battle. Specifically, with one exception, a Vs. Seeker Item will add the offensive advantages of its type to the Pokémon while ignoring any offensive disadvantages. For example, equipping a Blastoise with a Charcoal would grant it the Fire-type's advantages over Grass, Steel, and Ice, while still allowing it to hit Rock-type Pokémon as normal. Each type has one item associated with it; for the most part, these are the same items that, in the video games, provide a boost in the damage done by moves of that type when held by a Pokémon.
Every day, four Vs. Seeker Items will be rotated through the Shop at 6 AM and 6 PM EST. Vs. Seeker Items can also be awarded by completing certain Achievements, in the Underground, and when hatching a Pokémon egg. In the latter case, the item that is produced will be of (one of) the type(s) of the Pokémon hatched; for example, a Squirtle Clone can hatch with either a Mystic Water or a Blackglasses.

Battle Tower Items[]
Battle Tower Items are a group of items that can be used in the Battle Tower. The user can equip an item through the options drop down menu, listed under Attacks & hold items. Unlike the Vs. Seeker Items, Battle Tower Items are preserved throughout all battles.
Every day, the Fairy Gem and four other Battle Tower Items will be rotated through the Prize Shop at 6 AM and 6 PM EST. Battle Tower Items can also be awarded by completing certain Achievements, and by winning battles in the Battle Tower.
Currently, releasing a Pokémon holding an item will lose the item and make it appear unusable in a user's Inventory. To avoid this issue, remove the item from the Pokémon before releasing.
